This revolutionary processor offers up to 60 percent faster performance compared to its predecessor, the M1 chip, and up to 13 percent faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. The integration of a faster and more efficient Neural Engine in the M3 solidifies MacBook Air’s position as the pinnacle of consumer laptops for AI applications.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, expressed excitement about the enhanced capabilities of the MacBook Air, stating, “MacBook Air is our most popular and loved Mac, with more customers choosing it over any other laptop. And today it gets even better with the M3 chip and new capabilities.”

The M3 chip, built on cutting-edge 3-nanometer technology, features a potent 8-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU, and support for up to 24 GB of unified memory. One of the most notable improvements with the M3 chip is its gaming prowess, with titles like No Man’s Sky running up to 60 percent faster compared to the previous model. Additionally, AI-enhanced features such as Photomator’s Super Resolution experience a boost of up to 40 percent in performance. The MacBook Air’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its construction, featuring a durable aluminum unibody enclosure made with 50 percent recycled content. The device utilizes 100 percent recycled aluminum in its enclosure and main logic board, along with 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets. This dedication to sustainability aligns with Apple’s ambitious goal to eliminate plastic from all packaging by 2025 and achieve carbon neutrality across its entire supply chain by 2030.
