Back in September, the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched the folding device, dubbed Mi Mix Alpha. The company revealed the device with much fanfare to woo the maximum audience through its unique design stature. But what can we expect after the Mi Mix Alpha, a Xiaomi Tri-Folding Smartphone?
Well, we have received a new glimpse from a recent patent from Xiaomi, which we can expect as the future model. Xiaomi disclosed the patent at China’s CNIPA to hint the next-generation smartphone with a unique physique.
Features of Xiaomi Double Foldable Smartphone:
By the outlines, it looks like the improved edition of the Mi Mix Alpha launched previously. We are eventually terming it as the second part of the device and naming it as the Mi Mix Alpha II. It is merely looking identical by physical structure to the previous Mi Mix Alpha.
As per the new patent by Xiaomi, it adopts two hinges to ensure the dual-folding concept. Hence, the basic dimensions are similar to the regular edition launched a few months back. You can see a strip on one side of the phone. It is there to house the phone cameras. When you fold the device, the black-coloured strip moves slightly off the center as we already have seen in case of the Mi Mix Alpha.
Here we have identified a big difference between the two folding devices. The mi Mix Alpha smartphone is in a static folding state, whereas the newer one can create a tablet mode.
Possibly you will be wondering why the newer edition looks identical to the Alpha model. The prime reason may be both the devices share the same internal code series. Moreover, Xiaomi has two other foldable-screen phones, one with a Penta pop-up camera setup and other with Moto Razr-like Clamshell design.
