Xiaomi Sold Over 3 Million Air Purifiers In 2017

Though Xiaomi is known for its smartphones mainly and it performs plummy in this niche, there are myriads of partner companies, in which Xiaomi invests a lot and they come in with great products. The most popular of them are Huami, Mijia, ZMI, XiaoYi, etc. Each of those brands is specialized in making certain category products. But what’s more amazing, though these brands are new on the market, they have already helped Xiaomi to break some records. Today it became known Xiaomi has sold over 3 million units of air purifiers in 2017. It’s way more than how many air purifiers the manufacturer shipped in 2016.

The air purifiers are made to remove contaminants from the air in a room. Thus it is capable of adsorbing, decomposing or converting various air pollutants (usually including PM2.5, dust, pollen, odor, decoration pollution such as formaldehyde, bacteria, allergens, etc.) and effectively improves the room’s cleanliness. In this sense, the Xiaomi Air Purifiers are widely known not only in China but overseas as well. The manufacturer has launched a few models including the original first-gen Air Purifier, the Air Purifier Pro, the Air Purifier 2, Air Purifier 2S, and the latest of them, the Xiaomi Air Purifier Max. Thus there are models for everyone and every space. Of course, the most powerful of them is the Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Max that comes with a CADR of 1000m³/h.

According to the official statement, in 2017 Xiaomi sold 3 million air purifiers, while it shipped only 2 million units in 2016. So thanks to such a good performance the manufacturer proves it is a leader not only in the smartphones market but in the appliances market as well. Moreover, it has sold over 1.6 million air purifier filters.

At last, though the spokesman didn’t reveal certain data on other household appliances, he said they had achieved some amazing results in other fields as well. Actually, we know Xiaomi has many awesome products that come with at least one ‘intelligent’ feature. Plus, those products are designed quite well. So it’s expected to Xiaomi showcases good sales in other niches too.
