XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 5 – DESIGN AND SPECIFICATIONS
So, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is arriving with a 5.99-inch display which has an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160x1080p, i.e., FHD+. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, and yes, this is a processor that was announced back in the Q4 2016. That’s the reason why we suggested you go for the Redmi Note 5 Pro instead in case you want to buy a Xiaomi phone. Anyways, there are two storage options – 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. It is worth mentioning that the Snapdragon 625 is not a bad chipset at all. In fact, this is a great power efficient processor, and the Redmi Note 5 comes with a 4,000mAh battery so no matter how much you use your phone, it will be lasting a day for sure.
On the rear, there is a single 12MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, the phone features a 5MP camera. Lastly, Android Nougat runs out of the box with MIUI 9, and that’s also a major con since Android Oreo was released last year while Android P is set to announce in May.
If Xiaomi prices it around 10-12K, this could be a great hit. However, there are already phones like Honor 9 Lite in this price range, and the Redmi Note 4 is also available at the same price. So, let’s see what the price that Xiaomi has planned to put for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is.
