On March 20, Lenovo held a conference in Beijing and announced a few new products. Among them, we can find the Lenovo S5, the Lenovo K5, the Lenovo K5 Youth Version, the HiFi headphones, and a smartwatch. The most interesting models of this list are the S5, which is the company’s first blockchain phone. At this moment, the phone is offered at GearBest for a price tag of $249.99. This is a great deal if taking into account this handset is one of those rare devices that are capable of struggling against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

Generally, there are too many selling points in this smartphone. Say, the Lenovo S5’s body is made of a single piece 6-series aviation-grade aluminum alloy. To provide great ergonomics it passes through CNC processes + nano-injection molding followed by grinding, sandblasting, diamond trimming, and anodizing. Apart from this, the S5 comes with a 5.7-inch full-screen with a2160 x 1080 resolution an 18:9 aspect ratio. Like other models made to compete with the Redmi Note 5, it sports a Snapdragon 625 octa-core chip paired with a 3/4GB of RAM, 32/64/128GB of native storage, and a 3000mAh. Seems the battery capacity is not that impressive, but as the manufacturer claims the handset comes with a power saving technology, which can provide up to 23 hours of a heavy use.
The Lenovo S5 also good when it comes to the photography. The phone sports a dual-camera using a 13MP black and white sensor as well as another 13MP color sensor. As you know, the black and white sensor is responsible for recording details of the screen, while the color lens is responsible for capturing color. Moreover, the camera comes with an aperture of f/2.2, 0.09-second maximum focus speed, and an 8-layer depth of field. On the front, it carries a 16MP camera that supports 100-level AI beauty and face recognition.
