The device arrives India sporting the same premium design which is spot-on for a budget smartphone. The specifications did not change but what changed is that the price tag the device hits the India market with is a tad cheaper than what it is currently sold in China.
The Redmi 4A utilizes an all-metal body except for the upper and lower edges of the back casing which are covered with plastic material due to the antenna band running through those regions. The processor is supplemented by a roomy 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. At the back, the phone features a 13MP sensor with PDAF, and up front, there is a 5MP shooter.
The Redmi 4A also doesn’t disappoint in the battery aspect, cramming a capable 3,120mAh battery under its hood. Providing the interface is the latest MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and on this one, you also get dual SIM / dual.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A will be sold exclusively on Amazon India and Mi.com, with a 5,999 Rupees price tag ($91).
