For some time, many online pages have been talking about Xiaomi POCOPHONE, a new brand of the Chinese company that would be focused on the manufacture of low-cost devices. However, until now there has not been a full confirmation of which will be the first terminal or when will it be released, except for a certification in Taiwan’s NCC that was recently filtered. Now, the same device has been seen in the FCC receiving a new certification.
Xiaomi POCOPHONE: FCC certification and cover letter details
The first phone of Xiaomi POCOPHONE is known by the model number M1805E10A, but the name of the model in the cover letter provided by Xiaomi says that the number is actually M1805D1SG. However, the identification in the FCC certification (2AFZZ-XMSE10A) for both devices is the same.
With two certifications (NCC and FCC) from the same terminal coming up to light, it is possible that we will soon see it in a reference site or even in China’s TENAA database. For now, the details in the FCC certification and the cover letter let us see some important specifications of the device. Apparently, the phone will support Wi-Fi bands of 2.4GHz and 5GHz, in addition, it will have Bluetooth too. It will also have LTE Band 40 support but will be disabled by software, since it isn’t used in the US.
As is common in this type of certification, the FCC documents even present the dimensions and a sketch of the device. It is speculated that the POCOPHONE device will be 151 mm long, 76 mm wide and 163 mm diagonal in size. The sketch also shows that it will have two rear cameras. There is still much more to be revealed, so we will patiently wait for any other details about this new terminal and the POCOPHONE brand.
