Xiaomi Partners With Dixon Technologies To Manufacture LED TVs In India

Dixon Technologies (India) Limited is the largest home grown design-focused and solutions company engaged in manufacturing products in the consumer durables, lighting and mobile phones markets in India

Finally, Xiaomi India has Partnership with Noida’s Dixon Technologies to manufacture LED TVs at the modern technology factory in Tirupati.

N. Chandrababu Naidu, the chief executive of Andhra Pradesh, unveiled the factory. He said at the opening ceremony: “I want to make Tirupati an IT center, providing a one-stop shop for mainstream electronics enthusiasts. Electronic services.”

The 32-acre Mi LED TV manufacturing plant now employs more than 850 people. The plant expected to reach a monthly capacity of 100,000 Mi LED TVs by the first quarter of 2019.

Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi and Managing Director said, “We are already the number one ‘Smart TV’ brand in India, and we hope that with our increased focus on local manufacturing, we would be able to increase our supply and reach out to many more Mi Fans,”

The new plant will start local assembly with Mi LED Smart TV 4A 80cm (32-inch) and Mi LED Smart TV 4A 180cm (43-inch) for now.

According to the market research firm IDC’s, Xiaomi Mi LED has become the top “Smart TV” brand in India.

State IT Minister Nara Lokesh said, “Our target is to get an ecosystem in a state where $250 billion worth of electronics manufacturing will happen, which is half of the country’s consumption of electronics in India every year”

Xiaomi recently launches its Mi Air Purifier 2S and Mi Home Security Camera 360 with “talk-back” feature at affordable prices.

Xiaomi now has six smartphone manufacturing plants in India, located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, Sriperum Budur in Tamil Nadu and Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The first move of Xiaomi power plant is also in Noida. More than 95% of the Xiaomi smartphones currently sold in the Indian market are locally made.

At present, Xiaomi has four Mi Home Experience stores in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi, and established 36 Mi homes throughout India. Xiaomi aims to open 100 “Mi Home” stores in 2018.
