Xiaomi ranks among the top manufacturers in the Chinese notebook market. This means, since its first model launched back in 2013, the company has done a great job to enter the elite of top brands. This also means the manufacturer should upgrade its laptop series frequently. Though recently it released the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop and the Mi Air notebook packed with the eight-generation Intel Core chip, just a week ago it came in with three new laptops. Besides the new Xiaomi Gaming Laptop and the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 15.6-inch, we also saw the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version. As the name suggests, it is the enhanced variant of the original Notebook Pro. Now, this amazing notebook is offered for $1059.99.

The main change refers to the graphics card and graphics performance. Instead of the MX150, now it comes with a stronger GTX1050 MAX-Q graphics card. Though the latter is not much higher than that of the MX150, the game performance can almost double.
Apart from this, there are two specially-developed technologies used in the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version in order to maximize the performance of the processor. First, the Xiaomi notebook uses a technology called ‘CPU performance enhancement mode.’ The principle is to increase the processor TDP upper limit. So the device can remain at the highest frequency for a long time. During our testing, the i7-8550U was stable at 3.7GHz, while the TDP was stable at 25W. Second, the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version uses a three-heat pipe twin-turbofan heatsink system. In addition, a large area of a pure copper heatsink can quickly share the heat of the processor, and the metal body also has a little help for heat dissipation. As a result, the processor performance of the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version is about 30% stronger than the Xiaomi Notebook Pro.
As for the key features, the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD display. It is equipped with the 8th generation Intel Core processor. One of them is equipped with the i7-8550U processor, a 256GB PCIe SSD, a 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 dual-channel memory, and an NVidia GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics card, while the second model sports an Intel i5 chip paired with an 8GB of RAM.
The left side of the fuselage carries an HDMI, two USB 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headset jack. There are two Type-C ports on the right side and a three-in-one UHS-II card reader, the transmission speed of which can reach 312MB/s, and the time for importing device data such as SLR cameras into the computer is greatly shortened.
In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version’s i5+8GB variant is available at $1089.99, while the i7+16GB memory version is sold for $1359.99.
