Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version Officially Announced

On August 3, Xiaomi released the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop packed with the eighth generation Intel Core chips. At the same time, it uncovered and the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX version on Shanghai at China Joy. As you guess, this is the much talked Xiaomi Notebook Pro 2.

Previously, we reported Xiaomi and Intel had teamed up to bring new laptops to the market. Initially, it was thought the upcoming model will be the enhanced variant of the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop. Later we started thinking it will be the Xiaomi Notebook Pro 2. The reason why our assumptions were mixed is that both Xiaomi laptops required an update. Fortunately, Xiaomi launched two new laptops.

Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version

Now, we can state there are two models – the e-Sports Performance Monster and the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version.  The latter uses a 15.6-inch FHD display. At the same time, it is equipped with the 8th generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor (there is also an i5 version), 256GB PCIe SSD, 2400MHz DDR4 dual-channel memory (8GB and 16GB) and GTX 1050 Max-Q.

According to the official introduction, the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version comes with a creatively designed CPU performance enhancement mode. When the discrete graphics card is not started, by adjusting the CPU’s Turbo frequency characteristics, it will bring more than 20% performance improvement for heavy office users.

In terms of heat dissipation, the Pro GTX Version is also upgraded to a double fan with a metal fan blade that can increase the air volume by 38.5%. The graphics card area adopts a double heat pipe layout to effectively improve the surface temperature.

In addition, the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX version is also equipped with a UHS-II professional-grade card reader, the transmission speed of which can reach 312MB/s, and the time for importing device data such as SLR cameras into the computer is greatly shortened.

Finally, as for the price, the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX Version will go on sale on August 16. The i5+8GB memory version is priced at 6299 yuan (916), while the i7+16GB memory version is priced at 7599 yuan ($1105).
