Xiaomi makes products not only for adults but for kids as well. But if there are tons of sub-brands designing various products for various needs and niches, there are only a couple of brands aiming at products for children only. Say, we are familiar with MITU, Beva, and Youpin. Just recently, the former brand launched the 4G-enabled version of its Mi Bunny Smartwatch. The Xiaomi MITU Mi Bunny Watch 3 is aiming to keep the wearer safe through 4G connectivity and GPS tracking.
Actually, the Xiaomi MITU Mi Bunny Watch 3 uses the same design style as the Mi Bunny Phone Watch 2C released earlier this year. On the front, it carries a 1.41-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 360 pixels. The watch also comes with 140-220mm rubber straps that are available in pink or blue. The device is 43 mm wide and 15 mm thin. So the entire product weighs 50 grams only and is very comfortable for a long time wearing.
The Xiaomi MITU Mi Bunny Watch 3 supports Wi-Fi and 4G network. So kids can make calls from the wrist. There is also GPS/A-GPS built in for parents to know their child’s whereabouts in real-time. Though the manufacturer didn’t specify what activity would be tracked, we are sure the usual suspects are available – steps and calories burned. An alarm, riddles, and games are also found in the smartwatch.
On the side, it carries a 2Mp camera. Kids can capture non-plant photos or HD videos, all while racking up activity data, too. The battery inside will provide up to 30 hours of battery life. And although that’s not overly impressive, you can get 11 hours with just a 10-minute charge.
The Xiaomi MITU Mi Bunny Watch 3 has IPX7 compatibility so can withstand rain, sweat and even swim in shallow water. Also, children can use the dedicated SOS button to send an audio clip and the exact location to parents (SOS contact).
Though it’s been made for kids, the Xiaomi MITU Mi Bunny Watch 3 is a high-quality product. Therefore, it is not cheap. It’s on sale in its native China now for 599 yuan ($88).
