In October it was rumored that Xiaomi would release out a new Tablet and, since that day, Mi Fans has been waiting for the update of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3. Until now that a new information confirms that the company is working on something related to this type of product. And all the data support that this Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 will be running with the Snapdragon 660.
XDA Developers tells us why this data can belong to Xiaomi Mi Pad 4:
The MIUI configuration for the devices seems programmed for a Pad, something that has been seen only in previous models. In build.prop, the property called ro.build.characteristics can be seen to establish that it is a “tablet”. The applications look at this property to show a suitable interface adapted to this type of screen. You can see in the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 this property is configured as a tablet, while devices like the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is set as default, like all phones.
The default screen density is set to 320, which is a much lower value than normal. And we should expect a Tablet to display large images on the screen.
We also know that this supposed Mi Pad 4 will have about 6000 mAh, something good that will give us sufficient autonomy. Also, this product has a configuration of 2.0 GHz in the main cores. So it can be assumed that it would be the Snapdragon 660 instead of being the 636.
It will have a rear camera of 13 MP with a 2.0 focal aperture and a front camera of 5 MP. This means that is not possible to record in 4K and it will not have an NFC chip. For now, we do not know yet anything about the RAM or the internal storage memory capacity. Also, we do not know if it will have a slot for the micro SD.
But probably this new Mi Pad 4 may bring interesting features, although we must wait for new information or an official announcement to confirm this device. However, we are sure that Xiaomi will surprise us once again.
