Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 With Enhanced Features Announced

In the past five days, we have been getting pre-heating posters of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4. Today, this tablet was officially unveiled, confirming the previous leaks, hints, rumors, and bringing new features. It is priced at starting 1099 yuan ($168), which is quite low if taking into account what a decent specs list it comes with.

Though the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 sports an 8-inch 1920 × 1200 resolution screen, it’s called ‘made for movie and TV content.’ Actually, it uses an aspect ratio of 16:10, which simply means our protagonist is longer than the rest models available on the market. Everything has been done to make single-hand operations as comfortable as possible. On the back, it integrates a metal panel, which is similar to the previous models.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 sports a super mid-range Snapdragon 660 AIE chip, which is yielding its dominant positions to the Snapdragon 710 SoC. Anyways, the manufacturer has also added a smart game acceleration, making it ideal for gaming. There is a 6000mAh battery, which provides a day of normal use due to the optimized power consumption. According to the official statement, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4’s battery can provide up to 12hours of video playback, 15 hours of reading, 8 hours of playing games, and 10 hours of photographing.

In addition, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is packed with a front-facing 5MP camera and a 13MP main camera. The former supports AI face recognition. In terms of connectivity, the tablet has two versions – WiFi-enabled and 4G LTE supporting variants.

However, as we said, the biggest selling point of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is the content it supports. According to an official introduction, it brings together such a wonderful content as iQiyi, Tencent Video, and Sohu. Among them, the built-in Mi video app supports TV live coverage of CCTV and TV channels.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 comes in two color options of black and gold. The 3+32GB WiFi version is priced at 1099 yuan, while the 4GB+64GB Wi-Fi version is available at 1399 yuan ($214). At the same time, the 4+64GB LTE version is available at 1499 yuan ($229). They will go on sale on June 29.
