It was announced that Xiaomi Mi Pad was going through some extensive price reductions, resulting in the product becoming much more affordable that it was before. However, what the company was also doing was selling as many units as possible before its original Mi Pad slowly starts to become unpopular thanks to the release of Xiaomi Mi Pad 2.
A source indicates that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is going to be announced on September 22, which is the same date when the company’s Snapdragon 808 running Mi4c is going to be shown to the smartphone public. The source also says that the national 3C Quality Certification Center has placed a Xiaomi product possessing the number 2015716 under the laptop category. Strange as it may seem, but Xiaomi is most likely going to be releasing laptops next year, with the help of Foxconn. So why would a certification center place the product under the laptop category unless and until Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 possesses attributes of a laptop such as a keyboard and a large display.
We already know that the company’s first ever tablet featured a screen size of 7.9 inches, so the company will definitely be looking to release a mobile product that has a much larger screen size than its predecessor. There is a very high probability that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will be running an Intel chipset, which will allow the tablet to run both Android and Windows.
We are hoping that the mobile product will have a one key function that will allow users to switch between Android and Windows easily, and before we proceed further, we would like to mention that this function is already present in Teclast X98 Pro. Although the leak did not mention the price of Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, the product is already being assumed to be priced competitively than the company’s rivals in order to gain an immediate advantage in the tablet market.
