Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 Real Photo Shown: It Sports Lifting Structure

The current MIX series smartphone is one of the most powerful and most attractive smartphones around the globe. It’s a great alternative for those who want to acquire a top branded smartphone with no bangs. But there are at least two other smartphones that offer something new. As you guess, we are talking about the OPPO Find X and the VIVO NEX. Due to the lifting structure that carries the camera sensor(s) their screen ratio increased a lot. The Mi MIX series handsets have been always known for their pursuit of the largest screen share. So after the launch of the mentioned two handsets, Xiaomi just has to do something not to be left behind. Tomorrow, at IFA 2018, the Honor Magic 2 will be announced with the largest screen ratio. Today, Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin posted on Weibo that though they won’t introduce a new phone at this event, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will launch on October. But what’s more amazing, he posted the phone’s real image. It’s stunning.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3

As the photo shows, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 adopts a lifting camera design identical to the OPPO Find X. Moreover, the Honor Magic 2 announced today comes with a similar feature. So we can state this is the future of smartphones. Moreover, if look attentively, we can see the phone uses a slide-type design, which may require the user to slide out the camera manually.

Thanks to the double-layer design, it’s assumed there will be compromises in the thickness of the fuselage, and it may also affect the space available for the rear camera module.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3’s photo shows the chin is extremely narrow. So there is every reason to think it will use the same COP packaging technology as the iPhone X and the OPPO Find X. So the screen ratio can easily break through 90%.

As for the hardware, seems the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will still sport the Snapdragon 845 chip because the Snapdragon 855 processor will debut in February. So this will be the second MIX series smartphone with this chip onboard after the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S.
