Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Leaked Showcasing 4 + 128GB Memory Combination

We have heard Xiaomi is working on a Snapdragon 660-powered phone. A few weeks back we have learned this device could be the successor of the original Xiaomi Mi Max. But there is a chance we are talking about the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2. No one knows for sure, but we are tend to think this is the forthcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Honestly, we focus on this variant due to the latest leaks. Recently, a new device has been appeared on GFXBench database like the case of the Xiaomi Mi 6. But this model showcases different features. So we tend to think this is the much-talked Xiaomi Mi Max 2.

According to the data from the benchmark system, the mysterious Xiaomi phone will come with a 6.4-inch display at a resolution of 1080p. It’s identical to the original Mi Max screen size. Other than that, the rumored phone will sport an octa-core processor with A53 architecture and 2.2GHz maximum frequency. The chip is paired with an Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM. As a reminder, the original model comes with an Adreno 510 graphics card as well as 3GB RAM + 32/64GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM for standard and prime models, respectively.

If taking into account the GPU, this should be a Snapdragon 625 / 626. But as the original Xiaomi Mi Max was packed with a Snapdragon 650 / 652 SoC, it sounds unreasonable. So we think this is the upcoming Snapdragon 660 with similar features in comparison to the Snapdragon 625. Moreover, the Snapdragon 660 chip is said to use Samsung’s 14nm process technology as well as Qualcomm’s 8 independent Kyro CPU cores. Four small cores run at 1.9GHz, while 4 larger cores clock at 2.2GHz. It also comes with a dual-channel LPDDR4X memory, UFS 2.1 storage, and X10 LTE baseband. The supposed Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is thought to run Android 7.1.1.

P.S. the phone is codenamed as Xiaomi Oxygen.
