Last year, Xiaomi announced the Mi Ma which was, as the name says, a big phone with a huge 6.44-inch display. Not just the display, it packed some of the best mid-range specs like Snapdragon 650, 3GB RAM and a huge 4,850mAh battery. This year, Xioami went a bit further and launched the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with even better specifications as compared to the last year’s Mi Max. Today, exactly a year after the launch of Mi Max, the company launched Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in India for a superb price.
XIAOMI MI MAX 2 – THE SPECIFICATIONS
Coming to the specifications of the phone, the Mi Max 2 has a 6.44-inch IPS Display which is a Full-HD panel with a resolution of 1920x1080p. Not only this, it is protected by the Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, the Mi Max 2 is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. It is sad to know that Xiaomi fans in India don’t seem to get a chance to get their hands on with the 128GB variant. One of the best features of the Mi Max 2 is the battery. It has got a powerhouse in it as it has a huge 5,300mAh battery which is more than enough to last 2 complete days.
Coming to the camera section, the phone has got a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, 1.25 µm pixel size and dual LED flash. Also, the rear camera is capable of 4K video recording. There is also a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Android 7.1 Nougat runs out of the box with MiUI 8 over it.
Talking about the other features of the phone, it has a hybrid dual SIM slot, expandable storage, fingerprint scanner, IR port, USB Type-C port and stereo speakers. For connectivity, you get 4G with VoLTE, dual band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and GPS.
Lastly, coming to the price, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is launched in India for a price of Rs.16,999 which is a great price considering the specs. On 20th and 21st July, there is a special sale where this phone will be available to buy, followed by the open sale on July 27th. With Mi Max 2, users will get 100GB additional data on Jio.
