Xiaomi on July 22nd, officially announced the Mi Band priced at 79 yuan (around $10 USD), which then took over the market my storm.
According to IDC’s statement, in the first quarter of 2015, Mi Band occupies 24.6% of the global wearable devices, shipped 2.8 million units, and ranks in second globally in wearables.
One June 10th, a Xiaomi Spokesperson announced that the smart wearable sales have exceeded 6,000,000 in sales, which is an accomplishment.
On Sunday (August 16th), which is MIUI’s fifth anniversary, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 2, Mi Router Mini, and the Mi TV priced at 200 yuan.
The Mi Band is also being sold at a cut-down price of 69 yuan instead of the original 79 yuan as well.
The Xiaomi Mi Band now supports Bluetooth 3.0 which a most of android phones like the companies, Mi 3, Mi4, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2, Redmi Note as well as other OS’s such as iOS 7.0 and above which runs on Apple’s iPhone 4S,5,5S,6 and the 6 Plus.
It is also worth mentioning that there are Six different colors of the bands available, and there is also a leather strap which goes for 199 yuan (About $30 USD)
