Just like the 1st and 2nd generations, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 also uses a separate body and wristband design such that if there is any damage to the band, you can easily replace it. It also comes with a somewhat rounded shape and designs even the display. The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 tried to eliminate the issue of a very small display which is the major problem with many fitness trackers. It uses a 0.78 inches (the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 uses a 0.42 inches display) OLED with a 193 PPI pixel density. This touch-screen display can display up to 24 high-resolution large Chinese characters. The rear retains the heart rate detection function.
In addition to the basic functionality of taking calls and text messages, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 also supports sedentary reminders, weather reminder functions, special events and other reminders within three days. There is also a sport secondary screen feature which allows users to just lift his wrist to see details in the display. A similar feature is in the Mi Band 2 but the number of details revealed when the wrist is lifted is higher on the Mi Band 3.
This is a sports fitness tracker thus it has a strong protection against water actions. It comes 5ATM waterproof rating which means that it can be used underwater to a depth of about 50m. This implies that it can be used for swimming and other aquatic activities. In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 has a built-in 110 mAh battery that can be used up to 20 days at a time. As of now, this smart band is available in black, blue and orange colour options.
