The appearance of both smartphones looks like a flagship segment, not a middle-class device. Both are top-of-the-line, the displays are fitted with modern thin frames. Both devices come in three different color combinations with modern shades.

The size difference is only minor, especially at a height that is 4.5 mm larger on the larger Redmi Note 8 Pro. The biggest difference in this category is weight . Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite is lighter by as much as 20 grams as much as , which is quite a lot. This smartphone looks more compact and comfortable to wear and is therefore the winner in this category.

The larger it is, the better it is, but it may not always be true. The displays of both smartphones have almost the same specifications. The display on the Mi 9 Lite is 0.14 inch smaller on the diagonal. However, the resolution is the same and Note 8 Pro has a slightly smaller pixel per square inch ratio because of its size.

Both displays are depleted by a small area due to the cut-out for the front camera. What is a significant difference is the technology used. The Mi 9 Lite is equipped with an AMOLED panel , while the Note 8 Pro only standard LTPS display. The Mi 9 Lite has a more vivid and realistic display of colors with higher brightness and high contrast and is therefore the winner in this category.

In addition, thanks to AMOLED, a fingerprint reader has also entered the display , which is really fast. Some users prefer a sensor on the back and will not be rated as a plus or minus.

We will not speculate and defend in this area. Mediatek’s Helio G90T chipset is clearly ahead of Snapdragon 710. This is also evidenced by the scores scored in the AnTuT performance test.

Both smartphones have versions with at least 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. This can be extended by a memory card at the expense of one SIM card. Redmi Note 8 Pro also has a fluid-based cooling that significantly lowers the temperature of the hardware during demanding computing operations. This maintains software stability and reduces power consumption.

Game test

Redmi Note 8 Pro clearly leads especially in graphics performance and its graphics chip Mali-G76MC4 is slightly more powerful than the Adreno 640 in Mi 9 Lite. This means you can play PUBG or Fortnite on Note 8 Pro without any problems.

Redmi Note 8 Pro is a clear winner in performance. Both smartphones are perfectly smooth and both can handle even more challenging games.

If we imagined imaginary scales, in this category would be compared smartphones as on a swing. One has it better, the other one over there. We will not engage in scientific analysis of primary sensors of individual models.

Redmi note 8 pro

CMOS and ISOCELL sensor types also divide fans into two camps. Redmi Note 8 Pro brought a large 64 MPx Samsung sensor and offers a combination of three more cameras. Mi 9 Lite has a slightly smaller Sony sensor with a resolution of 48 MPx, but let us say that you can conjure up better images.

As they say, megapixels are not everything, and in this case it is true. Mi 9 Lite produces even sharper photos in some conditions than Note 8 Pro. The camera in Mi 9 Lite also has a dynamic range and contrast. Below you can see photo comparisons.

In the part of the camera we lean towards the Mi 9 Lite, which processes beautiful photos.

If we look at the specifications of both models, the winner is immediately clear. The Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 4,500 mAh battery , while the Mi 9 Lite smaller model has a 4,030 mAh battery. However, the question is whether endurance per charge will not produce similar results under natural conditions.

Redmi note 8 pro

Note 8 Pro has a larger display and more power-consuming processor, which could ultimately affect the power consumption. Both rivals support fast charging at 18 W. In this category we would like to declare a draw .

The price

Regardless of everything, price is one of the most decisive parameters. So let’s look at the price values ??of the compared smartphones. We chose the cheapest but verified source from which we can get both models, check the links below

Which is better then?

Choosing a winner from this pair is not easy at all. Redmi Note 8 Pro has a clear gaming performance and if you like playing games, this model will definitely be for you. The advantage of this model is also increased resistance to water and dust thanks to IP52 certification. It is also a little cheaper.

On the other hand, if you want high-quality photos and a gorgeous AMOLED display, go for the Mi 9 Lite. Whatever model you choose, you won’t be disappointed.
