The video confirms that on September 19, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will join the Mi 8 series. The launch event of the Mi 8 Youth will take place in the city of Chengdu, the capital of the southwestern province of China, in Sichuan. In addition, a new color was revealed: a design in a beautiful black color.

In the last hours, Xiaomi has launched a series of advances that reveal a series of truly spectacular colors, but nothing has yet officially emerged about the technical specifications, information that instead seems to come from a Chinese site, which also reveals the date of retail sale of the new Mi 8 Youth, which would be on September 25.
According to the technical specifications that are listed on the site, the Mi 8 Youth would come with an IPS LCD screen of 6.26 inches with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, a density of 403ppp and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. In addition, it would be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor (2 x 2.2 GHz 360 gold and 6 x 1.7 GHz Kryo 360 silver), up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory depending on the configuration. For the front camera, it would be a 24 megapixels sensor, while the rear camera would be composed of a dual lens of 12 megapixels and 5 megapixels, respectively, with an aperture of f/1.9 and f/2.0. Finally, the battery would have 3250mAh capacity and the phone will be running Android 8.1 Oreo OS alongside MIUI 9.6 with a future update to MIUI 10 on the schedule.
