Now, we have to hear about smartphones with foldable screen design. The Chinese tech players Huawei and Samsung are ready to launch their foldable smartphones soon. Meanwhile, news has appeared that the Chinese tech leader Xiaomi announced its Xiaomi Foldable phone a few months ago. We are still unclear about the exact name of the phone.
Now, Xiaomi has revealed another secret about the upcoming device. A patent has appeared in the EUIPO (European Intellectual Property Office) to tell us about the camera.
Features and rumors
As per the report from 91mobiles, the image appeared in the patent described, the Xiaomi folding Smartphone will adopt only a single screen in the foldable design. You can fold it into three folds.
Further, the screen is a bezel-less design and carries two large hinges. It allows the display to be easily foldable without being damaged. When we fold the screen, it appears to have a single screen on the front and two screens on the rear side.
In the images, you can see the Xiaomi Foldable phone with three cameras on the backside. The cameras are perpendicular to the middle of the device.
Interestingly, the selfie camera does not appear at all in the design that has been posted on the site. The overall design of the device is almost the same as we have seen in teasers. But we have never examined the back of the phone thoroughly.
The company first filed this patent on 1st of March 2019, which was officially filed on 25 March. Now, the patent was fully updated and published on August 8. The patent also describes the design will expire on March 1, 2024.
This suggests that Xiaomi will launch the folding phone very soon either as Xiaomi Mi Flex or Dual Flex.
