With this new product, the virtual reality (VR) market makes a leap to innovation. It has all the features of its previous version, the Oculus Rift, plus some improvements that give it an elegant touch. The device will not need any external computer to function, making it completely independent. It will simply have a small control to handle certain functions.

In addition to having 1000 applications and games for the enjoyment of users, the Oculus Go will have implemented several services, like Oculus Venues, with which you can have access to concerts, live games and much more. Oculus TV is a platform where the consumers can watch television in a virtual space. To deal with more interaction, Oculus Rooms will be the environment where you can invite friends, talk, and enjoy other services together.

Oculus Go will undoubtedly be a breakthrough for the virtual reality!

Oculus Go comprises an LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. Is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 3GB RAM and an internal storage of 32GB to 64GB. And also has integrated headphones for a total immersion.

It is based on the system used by Samsung’s Gear VR (using Oculus technology) or Google’s Cardboard platform, which combine glasses with a smartphone to bring them to life. Oculus Go already has everything into the same helmet. Facebook ensures that the novelty with the Oculus Go with respect to other models is that they have a design to be worn with glasses on, and the headband that holds the glasses, will fit with different users.

Thanks to the technological evolution in the LCD panels, they are very fast to change the information they show. Even if its resolution is lower than its predecessor, the use of less bright lenses give the Oculus Rift a visual performance boost. The technology has the effect of reducing the blur associated with the fast movement of the head.

In addition, you can add applications to watch live events and to access videos recorded by users or classic content, such as movies. Oculus executives say they came across an unexpected use for them of virtual reality glasses: use them as a secondary television. So we could see a movie with the glasses on and achieve greater privacy.

Oculus Go makes some sacrifices to ensure the best experience

Unfortunately, with this cheapest price, the Oculus Go can’t be so perfect. The battery’s duration is 2.5 hours approx. and they recommend to not use it while it is charging. But remember that it brings several innovations, so surely in the following versions the product will improve. It is still a high-quality device, which offers a unique experience.

If you want the get one, you can do it through the official site of Oculus, Amazon or Best Buy. This new product has a very affordable price since it only costs $199.
