With the recent information that several phones received the update of MIUI 9.5, we take for sure that they were updated in terms of Xiaomi software, but not in terms of the Android version because some phones still use Nougat.

The version 8.0 of Android Oreo has been introducing in terminals like MI A1, Mi MIX 2, Mi 6, Redmi Note 5 Pro, but the rest devices still keep their factory versions, which will displease some users. However, it is expected that Oreo will be updated in the coming months, and it has already been said that the next phones that will receive this software update will be Mi 5, Mi MIX and Mi Note 2.

The Asian company confirmed through the forum MIUI the recruitment of fans with the mentioned devices to test the version of Android Oreo Beta. Through the MIUI Global Forum app, downloadable through Google Play, the company selected the chosen ones through a recruitment process to test in advance this beta version of Android Oreo on the aforementioned Xiaomi devices. This week the registrations to test the beta of Android Oreo in the Mi 5, MI MIX and MI Note 2 were closed, and if you could register in time it is estimated that you can receive the beta of this version next month, as happened with the Xiaomi MI 6 earlier this year.

Android versions have always suffered problems or delays to reaching certain devices, that is something that many people dislike of this operating system, but as each version works optimally it is not annoying to wait for a new stable version. Hopefully, Oreo will reach most of Xiaomi’s devices in the following months of 2018.
