Vivo became the first company to showcase a smartphone with a fingerprint scanner embedded under the display at the CES 2018 and today; the Vivo X20 Plus UD has been made official. It is the world’s first smartphone to feature an under display fingerprint scanner. The phone is now listed on the official website along with all the specifications and also the pricing. So, in this article, let’s talk about the smartphone which has started a new trend among smartphone manufacturers – under display fingerprint scanner.
X20 PLUS UD – DESIGN AND SPECIFICATIONS
Speaking of the design, if you have seen the Vivo X20 Plus, then this phone is not much different except for the fact that you won’t see the fingerprint scanner on the front or rear. In fact, it is embedded under that OLED panel on the front. The phone has a beautiful gold finish on the logo, sides and that camera module while looks beautiful in the black color. The 3.5mm headphone jack along with the USB Type-C port and the speaker grill is present on the bottom side. The volume rockers along with power button are on the right side.
Let’s come to the specifications now. The Vivo X20 Plus UD features a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2160x1080p and so an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor which is right now the best mid-range chipset from Qualcomm. There is 4GB RAM And a huge 128GB internal storage. There is a dual camera setup on the rear with two 13MP sensors.
The fingerprint scanner is embedded under the OLED panel. Lastly, the phone has a 3,905mAH battery under the hood and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the Funtouch OS 3.2.
