On the evening of June 12, VIVO officially released a new generation of AI wisdom flagship – the VIVO NEX. As VIVO’s most important product for this year, the phone sports quite a lot of new and innovative features. We have already managed to review this handset and know there are too little smartphones capable of competing with it. So this article should be taken as a summary of that review. It will help many users to get acquainted with the biggest selling points of this smartphone and make their decision. Also, we provide hands-on photos in order to learn the design elements used in it.
First, the VIVO NEX comes with an unprecedented look. It uses a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with a screen ratio of 19.3:9. The three-sided narrow bezel design also makes it visually attractive. And the most important thing is that the phone does not use the current “mainstream” bangs screen.
After canceling the handset, the VIVO NEX uses a full-screen sound technology. Compared with the previous cantilever piezoelectric technology, the sound is fuller and the sound leakage is also much smaller.
All sides of the phone use a large R angle design, and the inner edge of the screen also echoes with the outer R angle. That’s why the visual sense of unity is very strong.
The VIVO NEX is still using the on-screen fingerprint unlocking method, which has a corresponding increase in the recognition efficiency and accuracy.
There is a separate AI button on the left side. When long pressed, a corresponding AI identification and Jovi artificial intelligence voice assistant operation can be performed.
The back of the phone uses a hot-pressed 3D glass material.
The VIVO NEX is using the much-popular IMX363 CMOS sensor, supporting 4-axis optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization.
The phone’s front-facing camera pops up when is in use and hides when not. Actually, it lifts instantly. It works with no noise and it is very smooth.
On the bottom side, it carries a USB Type-C interface. The maximum charging power reached 22.5W.
Of course, the ultimate version is packed with a Snapdragon 845 chip, which is paired with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. By the way, there is also a Snapdragon 710-powered variant.
