After the succesful Vernee Thor and Thor E, Vernee finally unveiled the big battery and AMOLED display budget phone Vernee Thor Plus. Read my Vernee Thor Plus Unboxing Hands-On with Video and Thor Plus camera photos.
Vernee Thor Plus Unboxing Hands-On – Thor Plus Specs and Price
The latest Vernee budget phone Thor Plus continues to deliver excellent value in the budget smartphone segment. No device around 120$ offers a big 5.5″ AMOLED display and big 6200mAh battery.
Pretty decent specs all round, especially the 18W Fast Charge and Dual-Sim with SD card slot.
A formidable charger awaits inside the box to help charge the huge 6200mAh battery.
Here we see the lovely metal back and dual nano-sim tray with SD card support ability. Sitting just below the sim tray is the E-Ink Mode button which lets you save battery or use the device, as a better book reader.
Vernee Thor Plus is one of the finest built and best-looking android phones at this price.
Unlike more expensive phones, here you can use your 3.5mm headphones.
Surprisingly, Thor Plus is pretty light for a big battery phone. As light as Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4X while packing a much larger battery. Not the thinnest device around, but definitely not too thick.
Inside the lovely box, you get the 18W fast charger, micro USB cable, sim-tray pin and warranty. Thor Plus runs on stock Android 7 Nougat with an app-drawer.
You really can’t ask for a better display than Thor Plus’s 5.5-inch AMOLED at this price. With really deep blacks and great sunlight visibility it makes purchasing alone worthwile.
In addition, you won’t find a faster front fingerprint scanner – really unlocks in 0.1s and doesn’t miss a touch.
Another great feature is the VoLTE and 4G support. Vernee Thor Plus has 4G/Volte working in Asia and Europe with 4G Bands – 1,3,7,20 and 40. Thor Plus won’t work in the USA, just like most budget chinese phones like Xiaomi and Meizu.
Vernee Thor Plus Unboxing Hands-On Camera Test
No dual-camera gimmicks here, just a decent 13MP f/2.0 shooter with FHD video recording. The front camera is 8MP, but it’s most likely interpolated from 5MP.
I’ve fired up the 13MP Thor Plus Rear Camera and Front one to share a few photos.
The 13MP Thor Plus Rear Camera delivers a good first impression. There’s plenty of detail, accurate colours and most importantly less noise and overxposure compared to similarly priced Doogee, Leagoo, Blackview and Bluboo phones.
The front camera looks OK for selfies, but with f/2.8 aperature it won’t be great for low light shots. It does support HDR though.
Vernee Thor Plus Price
With all these great features, decent camera and AMOLED display, huge 6200mAh Battery, Vernee Thor Plus price is very reasonable. You can order now for just 129$ from the link below
