After the launch of the iPhone X, almost all smartphone vendors began adopting the notch screen design style. Now you can find tons of bangs screen phones coming our way from top Chinese smartphone makers. So as they have completed this cycle, the second-tier China-based manufacturers can begin to overwhelm the market with true iPhone X clones. And though those handsets are made by more or less known manufacturers, it’s difficult to give another name to them. However, if you want a cheap alternative to the iPhone X, here it is. The Ulefone X is already available at a discounted price tag of $182.99.
Externally the Ulefone X looks like its found father of the Apple iPhone X. The only difference is the existence of the chin. As you know, the Chinese smartphone makers couldn’t remove it. There is the bangs area. But the Ulefone X carries only a standard set of sensors, while the iPhone X has tons of modules, including those required by Face ID. However, this is one of those Ulefone smartphones that come with a high build quality. The back is made of glass, while the middle frame is molded from metal. There is also a dual-camera using a 5+13MP sensors combination. Plus, on the front, the Ulefone X carries an 8MP selfie camera.
As expected, there is a relatively weak hardware inside. The Ulefone X is packed with a MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core processor (aka MT6763). It comes with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.65GHz and four cores clocked at 2.3GHz. This SoC is known as the main rival to the Snapdragon 625, which can be found on various models, including Redmi S2 and Redmi 5 Plus. It is coupled with a 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM, and 3300mAh battery. What’s more interesting, the latter supports wireless charging. As for the display, the Ulefone X is equipped with a 5.85-inch screen that provides a 1,515 × 720 resolution. At last, the Ulefone X runs on Android 8.1.
