From the previous year highlights, in December, a Chinese manufacturer ‘Ulefone’ surprised us with a low-mid-end terminal. They launched Ulefone Power, in order to bring some heat in the Chinese market.
So what’s so special about it? Well, suggested from it’s name ‘Power’, is itself a powerhouse. Why not? A phone incorporating a monstrous battery of 6050 mAh, makes this phone to be worth of a powerhouse. Discussing about power, the phone also contains 3 GB of RAM which is enough for a mid terminal.

Features of Ulefone Power
First coming to the design. The body of Ulefone Power is covered with aluminum metal, known for it’s durability and lightweight property. Apart from the luxurious metal finishing, the 2.5D screen design and the Gorilla Glass Protection 3, gives this phone a premium look than any other mid-end phone.
The dimensions of the phone are 152 x 76 x 8.5 mm and weighs about 214 grams. As the phone possesses a strong battery which is the only reason for the thickness of 8.5 mm (although average), but the weight is a little bit more and could left us a little bittersweet. Ulefone Power has bring back the novelty in colors by introducing three colors: white, black and beautiful original wood color. And guess what? The back cover of this phone is changeable.
The display of Ulefone Power is a rare one seen in the mid-specs phones for an affordable price. Instead of using the standard HD (720p) resolution, Power utilizes the advantage of having a Full-HD resolution on the 5.5 inch screen. That’s pretty impressive and large. Don’t you think?
As far as the hardware is concerned, the processor (Mediatek MTK6753 octa core 1.3 GHz) is fine as long as it’s a 64-bit chip. But now comes the exciting aspect-RAM which matches the name of the phone as it is 3 GB. Well, that’s pure power. Apart from this the GPU of the phone is among the famous Mali series known as Mali T720.
For a selfie lover, the phone is almost good. By saying ‘almost’ we mean that the front camera consist of Omnivision sensor but sadly is 5 MP. But wait! The rear camera is the perfect one for photography. It’s a 13 MP camera having a Sony IMX214 sensor with f / 1.8, AF and dual-tone flash. The rear camera provides features like panorama mode, HDR mode, wide angle and others.
The internal memory (ROM) is about 16 GB, although it’s less but if you want more the microSD slot is provided to expand that memory upto 128 GB. Like the previous models of Ulefone, this one also runs on the old Android Lollipop version, but worry not because Ulefone have announced the update to Marshmallow in the coming February.
The battery of the terminal is the main aspect, the selling point having a massive capacity of 6050 mAh and supports quick charge. How did they fit that amount in the phone? We know that the back cover of the Ulefone Power is detachable, exposing the battery but the battery is not removable. An energy efficient processor enables the phone to go on for days after a single charge on that battery.
Other features of the phone includes the connectivity aspect (Dual SIM and 4G-LTE support), the use of fingerprint sensor and the IR (infrared)control.
