The Ulefone Paris was an enormous success for the company and immediately secured its position as the flagship mobile device of Ulefone. When Paris X model was announced, there was a significant amount of speculations on the internet. Many thought that the new model would bring an important hardware improvement. They couldn’t have been more wrong as the new Paris X is a downgrade from the hardware specs of the Ulefone Paris.
The Ulefone Company intends this model for the youth. As they have stated, that is the reason they opted for the tablet-like 5-inch screen and many other features that emphasize visual experience.The company has also implied that the reason the specifications are toned down is to lower the price and achieve the affordability for the buyers.

The Ulefone had proven they had a taste for elegant designs when they launched the Paris model. With the Paris X model, they have continued the same design line, using their brilliant combination of metal, plastic and glass.
The Ulefone Paris X has an ultra-light metal frame that is made of aluminum and magnesium alloys, and it weighs only 125g. Using the CNC techniques, the Ulefone have made this phone as curved and comfortable as possible, and when we add the curvature of the screen, we get a well-rounded phone that has a slick look and modern design.
This phone does not come in a unibody which means that the back lid can be opened. The metal plate is very thin and is surrounded with a beveled plastic bezel on all sides of the removable rear panel.
At the front bottom of the phone, you will find a capacitive halo home button below the screen along with two other buttons. The speaker is at the base of the device, the power and volume buttons are on the right side. The top of the device has a standard micro-USB port and the jack for earphones.
The screen is an IPS capacitive 5.0 inch in HD. The company has written on their official site that the 5.0-inch size was the best according to their fans recommendation.
The Corning Gorilla glass protection is used to improve safety and the overall curved design.
The featured screen resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels (HD 720).
The internal storage on this device is 16GB that can upgrade to a whopping 64GB with a MicroSD card. The amount of space is more than enough for all of your music and videos.
The phone is equipped with dual cameras (one on the front and one the back). Rear-camera is a Sony IMX166 sensor 8.0MP, with a single LED flashlight and Auto Focus feature. The front camera is a 5.0MP with Touch Focus. Other camera features include Face Beauty, HDR, Face Detection.

The Ulefone Paris X is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, with the Ulefone interface that looks similar to Apple’s iOS. All the features of this system are implemented and restyled for the unique experience. The system runs smooth, fast, and there are no lags while using it, even when we loaded the phone with multiple apps.
This phone can host two SIM cards and runs correctly in Dual SIM mode. It supports 2G, 3G, and the modern 4G networks.

Testing showed that the cell provided 4 hours of screen-on time, which is good considering the big display that is a big energy consumer.
Additional features include TF/ Micro SD Card Slot. A Micro USB slot that is useful for recharging and as an additional connecting option. Sensors: Gravity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, and others. 3.5mm audio out port for earphones that sport a better sound than the speaker that is built-in. Sound Recorder with additional features and apps such as FM radio, Calculator, MP4, MP3, GPS, Alarm, Browser, 3G, Calendar, E-book, People. This phone supports the Google Play store if you are in need of various other apps.
Pros & Cons
After several days of usage, we can start forming our opinion on this phone, and here are it’s advantages & flaws that we have noticed.
- The price is a giant plus, and if you consider all the specs we have listed, you will see that this phone is probably under-priced.
- Smooth design along with a skillfully made metal casing makes this phone not only good looking but also very reliable.
- Excellent 5.0-inch display offers a wide field of view and superb image quality.
- Earpiece and in-call quality. When you’re in a noisy environment, you will have difficulties hearing the other person you’re in a call with.
- Similarity and price difference with the advanced model; for $30 more, you get an Octa-Core processor and more RAM memory.
Although the Ulefone Paris X will always be compared to its predecessor, it is bound to make an impact on the market. Whether this model is only a marketing ploy to up the sales of the Paris phone or simply a cheaper version is yet to be determined.
All things considered, this phone is something you should consider buying as it will prove to be a device you could use for years to come.
