UHANS is a relatively unknown Smartphone Manufacturer from China, which has released a smartphone which has LTE, a 64-bit Quad-Core CPU, Dual SIM, LG GLass Induction Tech, and more. In this article let’s take a look at what this phone can do.
First let’s get the specs out of the way. The UHANS U100 has a 4.7″ 1280*720 IPS OGS Display with the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The phone is powered by the MediaTek MTK6735 which is a 64-bit Quad-Core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz and the Mali T720 GPU for gaming. The phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, has 2GB or RAM and 16GB internal storage. When it comes to the cameras, the U100 has a 13MP camera on the back with LED flash, a 5MP camera on the front. Both cameras can record 1080P FHD at 30FPS. The U100 supports FDD LTE/4G/3G/GPS/WiFi and Bluetooth. Now, that that’s out of the way, let’s dig a little deeper into the phone itself.
The UHANS U100 is built like a luxury phone. That resemblance will be seen everywhere around the phone and the experience will also resemble that. The U100 has the 5000 Series Aliminum which is mainly used in the Aviation Industry to make Aircrafts. This aluminum will feel very good to the touch and will also provide rigidity to the Phone to protect it from drops as such.
The back of the phone is made with leather, which is treated with a special process which will make it last longer, and sustain scratches, and drops as well.
The complete design onf the phone screams luxury and that too in a budget.
The U100 has a 4.7″ IPS OGS 1280*720 Display with Corning’s 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top of it. The display, although low resolution will provide great viewing angles, and an even better media consuption experience. With Corning’s 2.5D glass technology, the touch of the phone will be even better to use.
The U100 is a real beast when it comes to performance, the 64-bit MTK CPU and the Mali GPU cores did a great job keeping the phone running even on heavy tasks like Gaming or streaming a video.
The UHANS U100 ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with UHANS’ custom UI on top. The UI doesnt feel clunky, infact it feels a lot more streamlined than Stock Android. There are not a lot of bells a whistles on the software side of things.
U100 has the Off-Screen gestures which enables users to launch an app quickly or do an action without even waking up the device. Just draw a pre-defined shape or letter on the screen when the display is off, and the phone launched the desired app or task.
The UHANS U100 has a 2,200mAh battery which should last a day with moderate to heavy use. Since the phone has a 4.7″ 720P display, the screen does’t take up much of the battery power. So, even the screen-on time should be more than 6-7 hours with moderate usage. Charging up the battery also would take less time as this is a relatively small battery compared to some other phones in a similar price range.
All things considered, this is a pretty decent phone for the price. Everything right from the display, to the software to the performance is really good. So, should you pick one up? If you’e a first time smartphone user, it’s a big YES. Even if you have a smartphone with you, the UHANS U100 is a great pickup as a secondary phone.
