The Windows manufacturer Microsoft launched the Microsoft Surface Pro X 2-in-1 laptop recently. It is the successor to the Surface Pro with some advanced features over the previous edition.
What shock us is the company turn to Qualcomm-made processor from intel. Though it is quite a tough job to break the intel grasp, Microsoft has done it this time.
Features of Surface Pro X
After celebrating success with the Microsoft Surface Pro, the company now has its upgraded version. This time, the company is giving it a new shot by embedding the Qualcomm Snapdragon SQ1 processor. Further, it is an ARM-based Microsoft-custom version to run on the laptop-cum tablet device.
The Microsoft Surface Pro X ensures a slew of modern time features over the previous edition. It also provides some additional edges to regard it as the best 2-in-1 device to enter the market in 2019.
As per the specification sheet, the Surface Pro X receives a 13-inch display against the 12-inch in the earlier version. The screen acknowledges the 2880×1920 pixels resolution at 267 PPI.
Furthermore, the company also claims the device to be the thinnest with 5.3mm and weighs only 762g. It sounds impressive in the advanced features list.
Being unique, the laptop concludes a new Surface Slim Pen nestled in the keyboard for quick access. Similarly, the equipment supports wireless charging.
The wooing part is the availability of two USB-C ports in contrary to the single port on Surface Pro 7.
Overall, the Microsoft Surface Pro X grabs attention in the processor area. It is a 7W SoC chip, co-designed by Qualcomm and Microsoft. The company suggests that it will provide 3x more power (per Watt) against the Surface Pro 6.
Lastly, the laptop is available for pre-order and will be launched on November 5.
