Xiaomi is always developing new ways to provide its customers with interesting resources without it being necessary to invest in other brand devices for it. However, it does not always happen natively, so we have to resort to an alternative. For this reason, the XDA Developers blog shows how to enable 4K stabilization in the Mi MIX 3 and the Pocophone F1.
Mod to activate the 4K stabilization in the Mi MIX 3 and the Poco F1
The quality of the cameras installed in smartphones in recent years has improved significantly. Not only about the images, but also about the videos. Until recently, Full HD recording was reserved for the most expensive flagships, but in two or three years, the technique has been developed so that the ability to record in 4K resolution no longer impresses anyone. Of course, the quality of the recording varies between the terminals, but even in the midrange can already record in this resolution. In many of them, however, there is a lack of detail and stability. The Fans often compensate for such inconveniences with the mods they have created.
A mod recently appeared in XDA that allows the use of electronic image stabilization (EIS) 4K at 30 fps in the Pocophone F1 and Mi MIX 3. The mod makes it possible to perform the installation of the camera application official, based on the MIUI 10, within a personalized ROM based on the AOSP.
It is important to remember that the Little F1 already has this option, but it is only possible to use it in Full HD resolution. While Xiaomi forgot to implement the 4K stabilization support in the Mi MIX 3. The image trembles as result.
All you have to do is install the ZIP package on your smartphone. You must have Magisk Manager installed (well known by the most advanced users). Then, in the search, look for a mod called “Beryllium” and install it. After completing the process, once the 4K option has been selected, the EIS will be activated automatically, as if it were a native function of the device.
