Smartisan Nuts Pro Gets New Colors – Light Gold and Chocolate

When a smartphone maker wants to compete with top brands, the first thing it does is to come with a well-looking device. This is a gold rule that provides an impressive entrance of a company in a certain market and showcases its ambitions. Seems Smartisan knows about this rule well, and when it launched the Smartisan Nuts Pro, we all understood what market it is going to fight in. The Smartisan Nuts Pro is not the first phone of the manufacturer, but seems it will be the first one capable of competing with top brands. This handset was out in a few color options including Red Wine and Carbon Black. Today two new colors were announced – Chocolate and Light Gold.

As for specs, the Smartisan Nuts Pro sports a 5.5-inch screen at a Full HD resolution, Snapdragon 625/626 chip paired with a 4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal memory, 3500mAh battery supporting QC 3.0, 8MP shooter, dual-camera on back, and Android 7.1 out-of-the-box. All these features allow us to put it into the category of mid-range handsets. But what’s amazing the 32GB variant costs 1499 yuan ($217); the 64GB version is available at 1799 yuan ($265); and the 128GB model costs 2299 yuan ($338). Note the Special Edition is available only with a 128GB internal storage.

So what about the Chocolate and Light Gold variants? It turns out these new color options are available only with 64/128GB variants and priced 1799/2299 yuan ($265/338), respectively. Thus the manufacturer didn’t change the pricing. You also have to know the Special Edition with 128GB of storage and NFC support is not available in these colors.

(Un)fortunately and surprisingly, he got an offer to head a large knitting factory. In 2016, he got his Ph.D. and resumed teaching at the University … and writing tech-related articles following his passion.
