The Smartisan Nut Pro Spedial Edition comes with a metal frame and glass housing. Thanks to them the phone looks too slim. Actually it comes at a thickness of 6.98mm and weighs only 158g. Many think this manufacturer has copied the design of the iPhone SE. Honestly, there are some similarities with the aforementioned Apple phone, but the Smartisan Nut Pro has many differences as well.
There are two color options you can choose from – black and wine. Both models look too attractive, but I guess the dark red color option can become a game changer.
The front of the phone carries a 5.5-inch Full HD in-cell display, a speaker and a front camera at 8MP above it, and a refined home button below it. I guess the latter is the main reason why many think it’s identical to the iPhone SE.
The back of the Smartisan Nut Pro looks more attractive. It has a dual-camera like the Xiaomi Mi 6, a glass body, and a circle with the company’s logo in it. The Special Edition differs from the regular model with this ring – it is red.
As for the hardware, the phone sports a Snapdragon 625 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32 / 64GB built-in memory, 3500mAh battery supporting Quick Charge 3.0, and Smartisan OS 3.6 customized software based on Android 7.1. There are a few improvements on the higher variant such as a Snapdragon 626 chip, 128GB of internal storage, Smartisan OS 3.6, and 16MP front camera.
The Smartisan Nut Pro is good in terms of software as well. It comes with a feature that allows users to take down voice notes by holding down the home button. Plus, it supports optical character recognition (OCR). Thus you can convert written text into machine encoded text.
Well, do not expect to see the Smartisan Nut Pro priced low. The 32GB variant costs 1499 yuan ($217); the 64GB version is available at 1799 yuan ($260); and the 128GB model costs 2299 yuan ($333). Note the Special Edition is available only with a 128GB internal storage.
