Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ launching in India on March 6

Samsung unveiled its much-awaited Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the Unpacked 2018 event on February 25, and the pre-orders started from March 2. It is already interesting to know the Indian pricing of the Samsung flagships, and recently, the price of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ leaked for the Indian market. Today, it was revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are set to launch officially in India tomorrow, i.e., on March 6. The press invites the launch event, that is taking place at New Delhi, are being sent by the company.

The company is launching its phone pretty earlier than expected in India as we have seen that previously, the flagships from Samsung made it to Indian market about one month after the global launch. The Galaxy S9+ was recently tested on DxOMark ad received the highest ever rating for any smartphone – 99. The phone has beaten the Google Pixel 2 regarding the DxOMark scores. As for the specifications, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are almost similar except for the fact that the S9+ has a bigger screen, bigger battery, more RAM and not to forget, Dual rear cameras.

The S9 features a 5.8-inch Quad-HD+ Super AMOLED panel while the S9+ has a similar 6.2-inch display. There is Snapdragon 845/ Exynos 9810 processor, and as always, we expect the phones to arrive India with Exynos chipset.There is 4GB RAM for the S9 whereas 6GB for the S9+. The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a 3,000mAh battery while S9+ has a bigger 3,500mAh battery. Both the phones support wireless charging and Fast charging. There are stereo speakers too, which is first for any Samsung flagship. The S9 has a 12MP rear camera with a variable aperture, i.e., the aperture can shift from f/1.5 and f/2.4. The S9+ has a dual camera setup on the rear, with a primary camera same as S9 but also a secondary 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens.

As per a recent leak, the Galaxy S9’s price in India will start from Rs. 62,500 whereas that of S9+ will start from Rs. 70,000.
