We tested the LotmaxX-SC-10 shark, and I will tell you about the advantages and disadvantages of the new model.
An internal view also shows that the individual parts are embedded in the fine foam. As is often the case, the components are arranged in two layers.
Inside you’ll find the most kit with auto level sensors, bi-color extruders, and laser engraving (maximization). The accessory box contains two roll filaments with 200 g, which will suffice for many test prints (with dual-color extruders), assembly equipment, spare parts such as nozzles, and a temperature sensor, Bowden hose, or screws. The operating instructions include cable ties, USB cables, protective glasses, screwdrivers, etc. in understandable English and on an anonymous microSD with 16GB.
I like the quality of the processing! There are no scratch parts (test prints have not already been made in China for us, i.e., it was already set), and most of it is made of metal. Made of gray plastic here and there (filament holder, filament sensor, or mainboard housing).
The assembly is completed in 10-15 minutes. Finally, you only need to position the Z-axis with 4 screws, attach the screen and filament holder with two screws and plug the wires.
The 3D-touch auto-level sensor is well secured in an extra box and attached to the printhead’s right side with two screws. Cultivation was done in 2-3 minutes.
At first, a quiet fan performs and dies in performance. Since it only holds the holder, it can be moved freely. By the time I first pressed it, I noticed a slow “loading” of screen content. Each “page” loaded from top to bottom takes 1-2 seconds. It doesn’t matter, but it’s an unpleasant impression at first.
The amount of print is outstanding. Thanks to the TMC 2208 driver, I can run sharks beside me in my room during my test print.
At 62 – 65 dB, the SC-10 shark is relatively calm. It becomes slightly louder (1-2 dB) with a very rapid change of position (new level) or several Z-hops (i.e., raising and lowering the print head).
I have a few things to say about the printing or heating bed: what I like is the large size wheel, great, stable guide, and removable, magnetic, flexible print surfaces with 4 rollers in a stiff 4040 aluminum profile.
