The latter bumps up the RAM from 2 GB to 3 GB and bumps in the storage to 32 GB from 16 GB of last year’s model.
Everything else remains the same, from the 5.2 inch 1080 by 1920 Full HD AMOLED Display to the Snapdragon 615 SoC and the 13-megapixel Sony Camera Sensor , a 5-megapixel front snapper.
It will still have that 2,000 mAh battery and we will see Oppo’s custom Android skin- Color OS 2.0 which will still be based on Android 4.4 Kitkat which is a big bummer considering Android 6.0 is just around the corner. There will be Oppo’s in house VOOC fast charging technology which has proven to be a greater competitor to Qualcomm’s quick charging. There is 4G LTE support too.
The Oppo R5s will just be available in Gray color and there won’t any other colors as of now.
Due to the slim design, it does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you would have to use the included USB to 3.5mm jack adapter to connect your headphones and you won’t be able to charge your phone and use headphones at the same time considering it just has a 2,000 mAh battery.
Smartphones are getting thinner day by day and battery life is suffering. Considering the R5s runs on Android 4.4 and Oppo still hasn’t included a 3.5mm jack this time, neither a bigger battery nor you could expand the storage, is this phone a disappointment for Oppo?
