NPU, a blog focused on Nokia rumors and leaks recently reported that there might be a secret project being executed internally codenamed ‘Nokia 8 Sirocco’. Now the blog has an exclusive that details that there is another project under the works for the Nokia 8 Pro version. While this ‘Pro’ version of the Nokia
Five Lens Camera
One of the most unexpected features detailed is a 5-Lens array on the back of the phone from Carl Zeiss. There have been many speculations as to how this could be implemented, but only one of them have been more prominent and feasible; A rotating disk on the back which houses 5 different lenses with various focal lengths and apertures.
There is a high probability that there might be a secondary camera array for the ‘Portrait Mode’ feature. However, take this with a grain of salt, as this is just speculation at this point, and nothing has been confirmed. It is a great feature to look forward to (That is if the company actually uses this)
A few other features to expect is an 18:9 aspect ratio display, curved glass on the front and back etc. However, nothing will be able to impress the consumer market like the 5-Lens array. Since Nokia had a great couple of quarters last year, HMD Global (Nokia’s Parent Company), should really push for innovation and keep this momentum going.
While these leaks and rumors are very exciting, the company could very well scrap the project for a later model, like the Nokia 10. So, do take these speculations with a grain of salt. While the sources are said to be trusted, there is nothing hard to go off of to make accurate predictions.
