Looking at the first hands-on photos, we can see the manufacturer didn’t touch the design part, and the new Xiaomi Gaming Laptop looks identical to the original version. It just routinely upgrade the CPU. The top version is equipped with an Intel Core i7-8750H processor, which uses a 6-core 12-thread design, the main frequency of 2.2GHz, and the core frequency of up to 3.9GHz. At the same time, it is packed with a GTX 1060 6GB graphics card, a 16GB memory and 256GB + 1TB storage combination.
We have learned there is a serious cooperation between Xiaomi and Intel. Now we know it refers to the chipset part mainly. But it became known the cooling system is upgraded as well. We also noticed the new vents are denser, with three on each side and eight on the back side, and the heat dissipation is expected to be good. It’s said this version has a built-in 3+2 large-diameter thick heat pipe and enclosing innovative layout, which can quickly transfer core or key heating units to the fan area, unique S-shaped turbine metal blades and 12V drive motor. Then, it will release heat to the outside of the body.
The enhanced variant of the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop sports a 15.6-inch IPS screen with a 72% NTSC color gamut. The thickness of the fuselage is only 20.9mm. It will go on sale on August 16.
