In recent days, Xiaomi announced that it would have a special event on April 25 and, although it is a custom of the company not to disclose details before product presentation, social networks seem to have the mystery solved. This time it has not been through any leaking of the fans or by an oversight of the brand representatives. This time the news has come to us specifically by the Canadian-Chinese actor Kris Wu, known as the ambassador of the Xiaomi brand, who recently shared a photo that suggests that the next phone will be the Mi 6X.
This new teaser poster that was shared on the official Weibo page of Xiaomi is accompanied by a text in the photo that says “6X” and the phrases “Vision impossible / AI see you”. This would officially confirm the existence of the Mi 6X and also hint at its artificial intelligence characteristics and the camera’s dexterity. Although it does not have the date of the event, we are pretty sure that the poster is related to the next release.
Possible photos taken with the MI 6X?
Although the suspicions of this new phone had remained between the 6X and the Mi 7, and now Kris Wu seems to dispel the doubts while announcing himself as a possible guest of honor at the event, we still have to confirm if the photos recently shared belong to this new phone.
On April 12, Xiang Wang, Senior Vice President of Xiaomi, shared some excellent photographs from Wuhan University, taken with the Xiaomi’s next smartphone. As we can see, the quality seems to be much higher and the indicated for that next 6X with “Vision Impossible”.
What do we expect from the Mi 6X?
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to launch with a 5.99-inch FHD+ screen. In addition, it should come with a Snapdragon 660 processor with Qualcomm’s Artificial Intelligence (AIE) engine. All this accompanied by various variants of memory: 4GB and 6GB of RAM plus 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of ROM.
It is said that it would have two rear cameras with the same design as in the Redmi Note 5 Pro and a configuration of 12.0 + 20.0MP. While for the selfie camera we will see a 20.0MP sensor. In turn, it would be powered by a 2,910mAh battery. After the launch of the Mi 6X in China, the phone should also be launched in India and in the rest of the world as Mi A2 under the Android One program.
