My Own Experience of Blitzwolf BW-FYE5 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds

Blitzwolf is a well-known brand that makes various audio accessories. Personally, I have been using its Bluetooth earbuds for ages. And I have to say they are the best when it comes to the price-over-performance ratio. In fact, my earbuds are the BW-FYE2, which I reviewed recently. As for now, I decided to upgrade my earphones and got my hands on the Blitzwolf BW-FYE5. As the name suggests, it should provide better performance. I have already tested it and found out some interesting things to share with you.

Appearance and box content

Like the top brands, Blitzwolf retains minimalistic branding style. In fact, all Blitzwolf BW-FYE series earbuds come in the same box. They provide information about the product and carry the model name. Nothing else you can find on the box. Personally, this green and white theme has grown on me. It adds to the mystery and excitement of the unboxing experience.

The box content includes the user manual, the warranty pamphlet, the charging case, the charging cable, and two earbuds. Along with the capsule, BlitzWolf included a set of ear tips. There are three sizes, of which one is already installed on the earbuds. Choose the one that matches your ear structure better. BlitzWolf has made the warranty period a standard 18 months.

Honestly, I don’t know whether there are other color options, but my item is blue. OK, it’s metallic blue. It’s glossy and shiny with a hint of color shift. As for the charging case, more specifications are tucked away at the bottom and out of sight. The back of the capsule is very straightforward. The hinge is very secure and durable.

On the back, below the hinge, we can see the micro-USB charging port.

The Blitzwolf BW-FYE5 houses stronger magnets. While the lid is a lot more secure, the groove is quite shallow. Open it! Here we can see two earbuds with the same metallic blue color. The earbuds look a lot nicer compared to the oblong shape of the FYE2.

The ring on the earbud will light up in one of two colors. They signal different statues such as connecting and charging. It’s useful, but it is also a slight annoyance when using the earbuds in the dark.

The earbuds come with 50mAh batteries each. This is sufficient for 3-4 hours of music playback or an hour of a phone call. At the same time, the charging case sports a 400mAh battery, which provides an additional 8 hours of battery life.

In terms of sound quality, I have no complaints here. The earbuds definitely sound natural with a good balance of bass and treble. I even wouldn’t call the bass weak. The mid-range sits behind the bass – bass often takes the front seat in front of vocals. This isn’t to say that all you can hear is bass – just that the vocals are often quieter than the bass. I also found the mid-range somewhat lacking too. The quality continues to remain crisp even at higher volumes. I have not experienced any distortions or echoing. These will definitely get the job done for the majority of users.

Blitzwolf BW-FYE5

Like the previous model I have been using, the Blitzwolf BW-FYE5 supports Bluetooth 5. Thus, if you are within a 10-meter radius of your device, you won’t experience any static or cut-offs.

When compared with the previous model I have been using, the main differences refer to the appearance. However, these earbuds simply look great and sound great. The metallic blue will grow on you over time. No shortfalls with the quality, be prepared to be immersed in a balanced yet rich sound. With the silica gel ear tips, you can be sure to balance comfort with noise isolation.

Anyways, you shouldn’t think of these earbuds as something perfect. No, it’s better to take them as the best alternative to the Apple AirPod in this price range.
