Updates to Xiaomi smartphones have never been a problem. Whenever the company promises that it will release new updates, they really deliver. That is why it has become one of the manufacturers that most updates its devices and for long as well, standing out above its competitors. Based on this premise, Xiaomo had promised to update some of their phones to Android Pie this month and has kept its promise, both the Mi 8 and the Mi 8 Explorer Edition have begun to receive a new stable update that brings Android Pie along with some other features. It comes as MIUI 10.1 stable and weighs 2.1GB.
MIUI 10.1 Stable Update – Highlights
Xiaomi has specifically launched the MIUI v10.1.2.0.PEACNFI version. In this update, along with the inclusion of Android Pie, the slow-motion video capture at 960 frames and super night scene mode that we already saw in the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 were introduced. So these features have finally been added to the Xiaomi Mi 8 series. Users who like these features can now update the system and obtain them.
The changelog also includes a series of bug fixes that address phone crashes, abnormal flashes on the screen, and unforeseen screen blackouts.
Remember that the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition smartphones were launched with MIUI 9.6 with Android version Oreo 8.1, later they were updated to MIUI 10 in the same version of Android and now finally this latest update will not change the appearance of the phone, it is still based on MIUI 10, but it has the features of Android Pie. However, for now, this update is only available for devices in China. We hope that we will soon have the opportunity to enjoy these benefits through the launch of a stable global version.
