Okay (High Five!!!) it looks like Xiaomi has come to a solution for this specific situation, with their latest Xiaomi Pro version of Mi PowerBank named as Mi PowerBank Pro launched last week (March 4) in China (alongside Mi Box 3 Enhanced Edition in India)
As Xiaomi is already known for its affordable pricing, and with the price of CNY 149 (roughly 22 USD and plus some extra bucks for the Original Xiaomi USB Type-C Charging Cable), Mi PowerBank Pro power-packs 10000mAh power inside it and currently it seems like it is available in Dark Grey/ Black variants only. The 10000mAh Mi PowerBank Pro measures 128.6 x 75 x 12.6 mm in dimensions (and according to the company claims, the device is 42 percent thinner as compared to the company’s existing 10000mAh power banks) and weighs only 223 grams can work for 12V 1.5A, 9V 2A, or 5V 2A. It has regular Aluminum metal body but sports temperature, input overload, short circuit, output overcurrent, reset protection, chipset protection and nine layers of circuit protection. Like other regular power banks from the Xiaomi, it also has 4 indicators; 1st indicator light for 0-25 percent of remaining charge, 2nd for 25-50 percent, 3rd for 50-75 percent and 4th for 75-100 percent.
The 10000mAh Mi PowerBank Pro is claimed to go from 0 percent to full charge for just 1 hour and 50 minutes which is huge upgrade as the previous powerbanks usually took around 2 hours 30 mins for full charge (nearly charging time reduction to 25 percent of total charging time). The device draws power and charges itself with the USB Type-C connectivity and can output power from the USB Type-A connectivity. It supports charging almost every gadget like smartphones, iPad, fitness bands, smartwatches, Bluetooth headphones, gamepad consoles and even the MacBook (yes the Apple MacBook). The 10000mAh Mi PowerBank has automatic intelligent device detection and so that it can power the charging device with required wattage.
Talking about the power of the 10000mAh Mi PowerBank Pro, (according to the company claims) it can fully charge Mi Note for 2.5 times, iPhone 6 for 4 times and iPad mini for 1.5 times, (not disclosed to what percentage in case of MacBook).
Let’s have look at Quick Specs:
