Mi Box 4k is updated with Android Oreo (BETA version)

With a 4K resolution, Game Controller, and Wireless Connection, as well as a compact and elegant design for the cheapest price, it is not surprising that it is one of the most successful products of the brand. For that fact, the company decided not to be left it behind and now the Mi Box 4k will bring Android Oreo update in a BETA version.

Something should have been attractive for the company this time, since this system did not have the update of Android Nougat. Therefore, it must be carried out from the Marshmallow version.

Mi Box 4k experience with Android Oreo

Another curiosity, which was strange, is that Mi Box received the update first than Nvidia Shield. Later it was clarified that this could happen because Nvidia must make some adjustments to its system.

What new features will Android Oreo bring to the Mi Box 4k?

It will still be a mystery to the vast majority of users. The update is only available to those who participated in the BETA testers program, whose registration ended a year ago. Therefore, those who wish to try the new update should wait for Xiaomi to launch a free version.

Another reason why we will not know more details at the moment, is because the first user to receive the Oreo update presented an audio error before linking the wireless control, which should not be a problem for other users. Also, you have to remember that we are talking about a trial version.

However, the comments do not estimate it as a BETA itself, which may give a good estimate in the future. We will have to wait for an official release or, to filter it as happened with the BETA version of Android Nougat.
