On August 3, Chinese manufacturing giant, Lenovo released its latest gaming laptop, Lenovo Legion Y7000P in ChinaJoy. Interestingly, this device comes at the same time as a new Xiaomi gaming laptop and both of them have similar features and pricing thus they will hit head to head in the market. However, it appears that the Lenovo gaming laptop will have an edge over Xiaomi because Lenovo has a better marketing reach and stocking than Xiaomi. Xiaomi has always struggled with stocking and potential buyers have to wait a long time to get their products. This is not so with Lenovo.
The Lenovo Legion Y7000P is equipped with Intel Core i5-8300H/i7-8750H processor coupled with 8GB memory, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, and a GTX 1050Ti / GTX 1060 graphics card. In terms of display, this laptop comes with a 15.6-inch 1080P 144Hz gaming display which has a 72% NTSC color gamut, three sides narrow frame design, and a screen ratio of up to 84%. In addition, the notebook also has a built-in “beast mode”, just press the Fn and Q buttons on the keyboard at the same time, and immediately enter the mode.
According to the configuration, Lenovo Legion Y7000P is available in four versions:
- i5-8300H/8G memory/GTX 1050Ti graphics card/128GB SSD+1TB HDD.
- i5-8300H/8G memory / GTX 1060 6GB graphics card / 512GB SSD.
