LeEco released quite a few phones last year and the Le Max 2 is probably the best out of their smartphone portfolio. It has awesome looks, flagship-grade specs and a great camera.
Le Max2 joins the premium smartphones league packing Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 like the Mi 5, LG G5, OnePlus 3 and HTC 10.
LeEco Le Max 2 Specs And Features
Specs: 5.7-inch 2K display | Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor | 6GB RAM+ 64GB ROM | 21 megapixel rear camera with OIS, PDAF +8MP front camera | 3000 mAh battery | Android 6.0 with EUI 5.6 | Type-C USB charging
A 5.7-inch Quad HD panel is still plenty good as the pixels are dense enough to be indistinguishable to the naked eye. Gorilla Glass protection has also been confirmed to be present. Colour reproduction is good along with acceptable sunlight legibility. Navigation is handled by backlit capacitive buttons, and you even get a notification LED above the display.
The USB Type-C audio standard which LeEco calls CDLA (Continuous Digital Lossless Audio) is one of the main sellers. Developed in-house, the standard requires the Type-C port on the device and the headphones to have special circuitry to transmit and receive the digital audio signal, hence avoiding any loss in quality. The earphones provide a good soundstage with crisp highs and sharp vocals. High-resolution flac files sound especially good. Le Max2 has some really strong points in its favour. Camera would be the first on my list. Overall performance is top notch like all Snapdragon 820 devices. The IR blaster is here to control devices like TVs. The sound quality from the loudspeaker is significantly better than on Le 2. The sound is crisp and it has a decent amount of depth. Also, the loudspeaker can get really loud.
The Le Max 2 handles daily duties very well thanks to its snappy CPU and loads of RAM. The interface runs smooth with no lag in multitasking. Storage speeds are superb considering the price category. Antutu benchmark proves Le Max 2 is a high-end device and worth every peny!
LeEco Camera Review
Camera performance is very good. Featuring a 21MP Sony IMX230 with OIS, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture the camera is still competitive when comparing to Xiaomi Mi5, Zuk Z2 and other similar priced phones. Being able to shoot 2K videos and provide stunning daylight shots with plenty of detail.
