After the announcement post of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, it did not take long for a Huawei smartphone to have its specifications leaked on GFXBench, and from the looks of it, it is going to be the newest rival of the newly announced smartphone. Like all Huawei smartphones, this particular one is running the company’s own developed chipset, Kirin 935. While not as powerful as Kirin 950, the upcoming chipset that is going to be present in Huawei Mate 8, the octa-core Cortex-A53 processor running inside it can still deliver quite a lot power.
The screen size of the handset is 5.2 inches and has a resolution of 1080p. Just like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Huawei ABC-UL00 has 3GB of RAM and one major difference is that it has more internal storage (64GB compared to 32GB present in Xiaomi’s smartphone). While the GPU (Mali-T624) might not be as powerful as compared to the rest of the competition, you will have to remind yourself that this is intended to clash with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and not the upper tier lineup of smartphones.
There is also a 13MP rear camera sensor and an 8MP front camera, but surprisingly, there is no Bluetooth chip present in the device. If Huawei plans on releasing on a smartphone that is going to clash with Redmi Note 3, then it is imperative that the pricing has been done right. According to a source, the price of the 3GB RAM model of Redmi Note 3 is 1099 Yuan, or $172 US dollars, so if we are going to see a similar spec’d smartphone released in the future, its price should be more or less hovering around the same range.
While GFXBench hardware specifications have a habit to be false on quite a number of occasions, Huawei must be pretty nervous right about now since Xiaomi is climbing to the top at a very rapid pace.
