Huawei has been in a close collaboration with Porsche. The Chinese tech giant has managed to release a few outstanding products with Porsche design elements. But what’s more important, all those models were beasts in terms of performance. Say, the latest model came our way just recently, when the manufacturer uncovered the Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design. It’s one of the most powerful smartphones around the world coming with three cameras on the back, an on-screen fingerprint scanner, a 6-inch OLED screen with a 2K resolution, two Dolby Atmos SLS speakers, a Kirin 970 chip paired with 6+512GB storage option (the highest variant), and many more. And though it’s an eye-catching model, we have forgotten about another superb phone launched a few months earlier. The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design was ignored by many for unknown reasons. Now, this handset is available for pre-order at a crazy price of $2099.99. So we decided to go back and recall its features. Of course, this phone is not affordable for large masses. But if you like the Porsche style and want a top-end smartphone that will make you stand out, this is the best option.
The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design is based on the latest flagship of the Mate series, the Mate 10 Pro. Like the Mate 9 Porsche Design, this handset swaps out the default color-scheme for a deep black version. As the dimensions are the same, in hands, it feels identical to the standard Mate 10 Pro, looks sleeker and has a tendency to attract a few more fingerprints. On the front, it carries a 6-inch 18:9 screen. On the back, it sports a curved glass. The camera sensors, the fingerprint scanner, and the Porsche Design logo are arranged vertically in the center.
Under the hood, it carries a Kirin 970 high-end chip, which is paired with a 6GB of RAM, a 256GB of internal storage, and a 4000mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 8.0. The dual-camera on the rear combines 20MP and 12MP sensors, while another 8MP shooter is on the front.
You are thinking Huawei has lost the plot asking that kind of money. But you have to know when the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design was announced, the company said the previous model of the Mate 9 Porsche has officially sold out.
