Huawei has officially unveiled a new Honor Band 5 fitness bracelet, which will compete with the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. As expected, the accessory appeared to be similar to its predecessor, but inside there are some interesting improvements. Everything is in order.
Honor Band 5 received a 0.95-inch color AMOLED-display with a resolution of 240 × 120 pixels, a pixel density of 282 ppi and 2.5D glass on top. Under the screen is a traditional control button.
The bracelet received a heart rate sensor that can track heart rate 24/7. The function of monitoring activity at night now allows you to recognize six different problems with sleep.
The main technical innovation was the blood oxygen level sensor (SpO2). With it, the device will be able to warn about the risk of dizziness, breathing problems and other consequences that can be very dangerous in the presence of certain diseases.
For sports enthusiasts, there are 10 different training regimes, including indoor and outdoor running, cycling, swimming and more. The usual functions of displaying notifications from a smartphone, reminders, remote shooting and phone search are also present.
The case of Honor Band 5 is protected from water and can withstand dives up to 50 meters. In terms of autonomy, it is stated up to 14 days of use without recharging.
